Meet our Veterinary Technician Team!



Kellie B - Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, SAMP)
Kellie brings over 19 years experience to our team and is a confident Licensed Veterinary Technician. She always has a smile on her face!  She brings her positive attitude and sincere concern for your pet to work each and every day. Kellie's special interests include microbiology, emergency medicine, and small animal nursing.  She enjoys spending quality time with clients (and patients) explaining every detail to you about your pet and welcomes any questions you may have.  Kellie is also a Certified Small Animal Massage Practioner and joins her skills with other holistic services we offer such as Acupuncture and Chiropractic (VOM). 

Kellie lives with her husband and children locally where she stays busy as a wife, a mom, and an owner of a Doberman (Hanz), a Chihuahua (Moose) and a cat (Tigg Tigg).  You can feel comfortable and confident that your pet will be in good hands with Kellie!



Kimberly W - Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
Kim is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and is dedicated to your pet's health and safety during their stay. Kim brings knowledge and skill to our practice and her friendly, caring style will put your pet at ease while visiting the clinic. Kim has special interests in dental care and procedures and will be happy to spend time to show you how to brush your dog or cat's teeth, or help design a program for home care for your pet. Kim enjoys attending AAHA aproved Continuing Education Seminars to further her knowledge of Veterinary Medicine.  By attending these seminars, she helps keep the practice up to speed on the latest advances in Veterinary Medicine. 
Kim lives with her husband locally where they enjoy spending time with their Lab Remi, their sweet Pug Lillie and their two kitties, Trixie and Louis VonWhiskerstein. She also raises chickens!  You can be assured that your pet will be cared by Kim as if it was her own.




Amber W - Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
Amber joined Highland's team in March 2011. She brings a wide background of technician experience; she is a member of the reserved components of the United States Army and has spent time abroad as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. We support Amber in her service and dedication. Amber is a Licensed Technician and is thorough and detailed in the care she provides to your pets. Amber lives with her husband locally and is staying very busy as a new Mom, as well as taking care of thier French Mastiff Hooch, their Pit Bull Chyna, and their Chihuahua Turbo. 

Amber is currently on military active duty and we support her an all of our military members that make our country a great place to live!








Aimee A
  - Veterinary Technician
Aimee brings her smile and dedication to providing quality care with her each day. She has completed her Veterinary Technician Associates degree at Pima Medical Institute of Seattle and will be obtaining her state technician license soon! We support her in learning and providing excellent care to your pet while in our clinic as she progresses in her career. Aimee greets our clients with a smile and her enthusiasm and compassion for our patients shines through every day. 

She has special interest in animal dentistry and with her strict attention to detail provides thorough, compassionate care to all of our patients. Often you can find Aimee spending that extra special detail, cuddling and comforting a patient. She is dedicated to pets not only at work but at home too.  She enjoys horses and her Rat Terrier, Kasey.

Lisa C - Veterinary Technician   
Lisa is a long time Highland Animal Clinic employee and her dedication to the patients is definitive. She works extremely hard and is truly dedicated in caring for each and every pet. She is a veterinary technican and brings over 12 years experience to our team. She also works at Pet Emergency Center on evenings and weekends and has sharp precise emergency care skills.

Lisa and her family live locally and enjoy spending time with their Rottweiler, Snuggles, their Shih Tzu, Tux, and their mixed-breed dog, Roxi. They also have 3 kitties (Wupsi, Bosley, and Smuckers) and a Guinea Pig named Zoey! Lisa is known for being a great friend and giving back to the community, including taking time out for our senior community members. She often volunteers to help out by droppping off medications or picking up a patient when our elderly clients may have trouble making it to our office. Lisa looks forward to obtaining her state tech license soon.








Josie V - Veterinary Technician 

Josie is vibrant, cheerful and hard working. She brings her technician skills and friendly demeanor to Highland. She attended technician school in Colorado and brings an array of experience to our team, from surgical assisting to dental care. She prepares packaged information for our clients each week for new pets, new clients and special promotions and will keep you up to date on new programs and deals.  

Josie is an avid horseback rider and spends her off time training and riding. Josie also helps with her family dairy farm including putting up hay or tending to the calves.  Her dog Captain steals most of her attention between the ponies and work, but her cat Big Frank is the one who has her whole heart!  She has a new love in her life, baby Lauren, and we are excited to support Josie as a great mom, co-worker and technician!

She looks forward to attaining her state veterinary tech license soon. You can't miss Josie and her enthusiasm and smile when you come in the door. 


MEET OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM


Jennifer S - Practice Administrator

Jennifer grew up around veterinary medicine and brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the practice. She is an enthusiastic leader and shows a genuine love for helping people and their animals. She works endlessly to make sure our clients have the best experience and constantly brings new ideas to fruition to provide better services with outstanding value to our clientele. When not working, Jennifer loves riding her horse, Zeubie, dressage (an ongoing feat) and plays with her two shorty Jacks, Rowan and Ruby! Life would not be complete without her loyal black German Shepherds, Truman and Bess. She keeps us rolling with laughter with the stories of antics between her animals and the humor shared with her husband, Gene and son, Gus! Please feel free to contact her anytime about your experience and she loves to hear about your successful pet adoption stories too! 



Julie G - Assistant Manager

Julie is the heart and soul of the day to day operations of Highland. From ordering, inventory, books and more, she is always engrained in many critical needs of the cllinic. You won't just find Julie buried behind the scenes, as she often is in front, greeting our clients and often knows each by name. She is a dedicated member of our team and has thorough knowledge our veterinary care, services and products. She will always lend a helpful hand or be happy to answer any question you might have to help make your experience better at our practice. Julie is an avid horse rider, participating in reining events, but perhaps she is most known for running her dogs in Agility events! She teaches agility to clients in the evenings from Mount Vernon to Bellingham and will be excited to introduce you to this fun sport to enjoy with your dog! At home with Paul, Julie keeps her hands full with dogs, horses, kitties and sheep!
